ISHG 2015 programme

The final programme for the Irish Society of Human Genetics 2015 annual scientific meeting is now available via the following link.  

Our second keynote address by Prof. Kingsmore's is entitled "Clinical implications of 2-day whole genome sequencing of acutely ill infants".

Congratulations to Caragh Stapleton on winning the Young Investigator Award for her presentation entitled "Identifying Genetic Predictors of Skin Cancer in Renal Transplant Populations".

Congratulations to Dr. Jillian Casey on winning the Best Post Doc Oral presentation entitled "When it Comes to Exomes, Expect the Unexpected".

Mendelian Traits NGS Course, Berlin September 28 - October 2, 2015


ISHG members may be interested in the upcoming course "Identifying genes for Mendelian Traits using Next Generation Sequence Data".  The course will be held at the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin from September 28-October 2, 2015.

ISHG Annual Meeting and Call for Abstracts

Dear members, The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Irish Society of Human Genetics will take place on Friday 4th September 2015 in Dublin City University.

Two leading international scientists will give keynote lectures at this year’s meeting: Prof. Stephen Kingsmore, Dee Lyons/Missouri Endowed Chair in Genomic Medicine, Children’s Mercy, Kansas and Prof. Mark Caulfield of William Harvey Research Institute, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, London.

 The call for abstracts is now open and will close on Friday 12th June. Please see the Abstract form for instructions on completing and returning your abstract. Please only select Post grad or Post Doc if you want to be considered for a prize for best oral/poster presentation.
