The Irish Society of Human Genetics annual scientific meeting takes place in RCSI on Monday 3rd September. A provisional meeting programme is available at this link. Our international keynote speakers are Prof. Andrew Wilkie (University of Oxford) & Prof. Han Brunner, Radboud University Nijmegen. Please register using the Meeting Registration Form before 17th August to benefit from a reduced rate.

If you cannot attend this year’s meeting but want to renew your membership of the society, please use the Membership Form.

This year the society is hosting a Public Event  “Your Genes, Your Health, Your Future” as part of the Dublin City of Science 2012. This event takes place in RCSI on the evening of Monday 3rd September after the scientific meeting. Please use the flyer to promote this event both within and outside your institution. ISHG Conference 2012

The Annual Scientific Meeting of the Irish Society of Human Genetics will take place on Monday 3rd September 2012 in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin. Two leading international scientists will give keynote lectures at this year’s meeting: Prof. Andrew Wilkie of University of Oxford and Prof. Han Brunner of Radboud University Nijmegen.

The call for abstracts is now open and will close on Friday 8th June. The abstract form is available at this link.

The society is delighted to announce that it will hold an event as part of the Dublin City of Science 2012 Public Engagement Programme entitled “Your Genes, Your Health, Your Future”. The event will take place on the evening of Monday 3rd September after the Annual Scientific Meeting in RCSI. More details of this event fill follow in due course.


UPCOMING EVENTS: Insights into Successful Rare Disease Research

The workshop will bring together National and International speakers and Irish researchers. Keynote presentations on the elements involved in successful research in the area of rare disease will be followed by a panel discussion on the barriers, solutions and opportunities in rare disease research.
